The Libertines é uma banda britânica de rock formada em 1997 por Carl Barât e Pete Doherty.
Curiosamente, os libertinos conseguiram o seu merecido reconhecimento com uma ajuda dosStrokes. Ninguém queria saber daquela coisa suja, cheia de gás, imposta pelos ingleses, mas o "novo rock" dos The Strokes chegava aos ouvidos de todo o mundo.(fonte: Wikipedia)
